Our mission is to provide assistance to landowners in protecting and enhancing natural resources. Toward that end, OCNRCD works with landowners, farmers and organizations to identify natural resources concerns in targeted areas and together we set priorities and develop a plan to address them.

The landscape across the country continues to change as rural areas grow and developed areas expand. Laws and ordinances can help protect air and water quality, but often individuals have an economic and personal reasons to protect the natural resources of the land they steward. There is much property owners can do to enhance the quality of the ecological communities we inhabit. We can enhance the value and environmental health of our property with restoration efforts.
