2026 Locally Led Survery
Help Shape Conservation Priorities in Orleans County
Vermont agriculture and land stewardship continue to evolve, and local voices are essential in guiding what comes next.
We invite farmers, landowners, foresters, and community members to participate in our 2026 Locally Led Conservation Survey.
This survey gathers input on current natural resource conditions, conservation challenges, and priority needs across Orleans County. Your responses help ensure that conservation programs reflect real, on-the-ground experience.
Why This Survey Matters
The Locally Led process is designed to identify conservation priorities at the local level before funding and technical decisions are made.
Survey responses, along with input gathered at our Locally Led Community Meeting, help:
- Identify top natural resource concerns in Orleans County
- Inform conservation funding recommendations
- Guide technical assistance priorities
- Strengthen coordination with local, state, and federal partners
- Support farm viability and resilient working lands
Community input directly influences how conservation resources are allocated.
Past Locally Led processes in Orleans County have helped direct significant federal and state funding toward locally identified priorities, ensuring that conservation efforts reflect the needs of the people who live and work here.
