6th Annual Clyde River Clean Up
Join the Memphremagog Watershed Association (MWA), Orleans County Natural Resources Conservation District (OCNRCD), and NorthWoods Stewardship Center for the 6th Annual Clyde River Clean-Up. This community-driven event brings together volunteers of all ages to remove trash and debris from one of the Northeast Kingdom's most treasured waterways.
Whether you're passionate about clean water, wildlife habitat, paddling, fishing, or simply giving back to your community, your help makes a measurable difference.
By removing litter and larger debris from the river corridor, volunteers help improve water quality, protect aquatic habitat, enhance recreational opportunities, and preserve the natural beauty of the Clyde River for future generations.

Why It Matters
The Clyde River is an important ecological and recreational resource within the Lake Memphremagog watershed. Trash and debris can negatively impact fish and wildlife habitat, water quality, and public enjoyment of the river.
Over the years, volunteers participating in the Clyde River Clean-Up have removed significant amounts of waste from the watershed, helping to restore and protect this valuable natural resource. Every tire, bottle, and piece of debris removed contributes to a healthier river system.

We recommend that volunteers bring:
- Weather and water-appropriate clothing
- Closed-toe shoes or water shoes
- Reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Hat and insect protection

Additional cleanup supplies and safety guidance will be provided on-site.
