Regional Virtual Session to Address Flooding in the NEK
What Vermont’s Flood Safety Act means for local towns, rivers, and future flood resilience
Regional organizations are hosting a free, virtual webinar on Wednesday, February 4 at 6:00 PM focused on statewide and local efforts to address flooding in the Northeast Kingdom.
The event will provide an overview of Vermont’s Flood Safety Act, including its background, goals, and timeline, as well as information on new statewide river corridor protections. Speakers will also discuss how planning for flood resilience now can help reduce future damage to homes, infrastructure, and communities.
This webinar is designed to help towns and community members better understand what the Flood Safety Act means locally, and will include time for questions and discussion.
