Position: Community Engagement & Communications Program Specialist

Rebekkah joined the Orleans County Natural Resources Conservation District in 2025 as the Community Engagement & Communications Program Specialist. In this role, she works to strengthen connections between the District and the community by leading outreach efforts, managing communications, and supporting programs that promote conservation, education, and resource stewardship.

Originally from California, Rebekkah moved to Vermont in search of a more intentional way of living, one rooted in community, knowing her neighbors, and being connected to the land. She brings a diverse background in communications, project management, and community engagement, with experience in both the nonprofit world and Vermont’s small business community. She also owns and operates a small flower farm in the Northeast Kingdom, where she tends dahlias, wildflowers, and, on a good year, pumpkins!

Outside of work, Rebekkah can often be found in the garden, working to remediate the woods behind her home, hugging her fluffy geese, or dreaming up creative projects that bring people together. She is excited to join OCNRCD to help tell the story of the District’s work, celebrate the people and landscapes of Orleans County, and support the conservation of natural resources for future generations.
