Open Position - Community Engagement & Communications Program Specialist

Orleans County NRCD is Hiring!

We are seeking a Community Engagement and Communications Program Specialist to join our team.

This position focuses on delivering a variety of communications, education, and outreach programming and services, to foster community connections and organizational recognition focused on OCNRCD’s program areas of soil and water quality in Orleans County’s working landscape.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and creative professional that can step into a scaling up organization to contribute to the diversity and excellence. It is someone who can bring a local community network, organizational skills and an ability to juggle multiple projects, a passion for stewardship of natural resources, and knowledge and/or practical working landscape experiences.  This 30hr/week position has room to grow and is based out of our office in Newport VT in a hybrid, shared workspace. Bachelor’s degree is desired but not required with at least 2 -3 years of related professional work experience. Orleans County NRCD offers staff a supportive work environment with a goal of meeting our clients’ needs as well as promoting the wellbeing of our staff.
